AIBCU holds meet

JAMMU, March 18:  An executive meeting of All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU), held today under the chairmanship of its president, Abdul Majid Malik, took stock of the outcome of the Coordination Committee.
The members arrived at the conclusion that the committee has avoided the agenda of enhancement of reservation to the State OBCs who have been given only 2% reservation instead of 27% as per Apex Court’s judgement of 1992 on Mandal Report.
The meeting asked Saif-ud-Din, chairman of the Committee, to take up this demand in the next co-ordination committee meet.
Meanwhile a deputation of the union met the Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipality who is also the incharge of State Economical Caste Based Census for cooperating and directing their enumerates for feeding the exact caste of the family head, but he showed his helplessness which is a matter of great regression. The union appealed the State OBCs to give correct information of their castes like Yogi, Lobana, Jheewar, Tarkhan, Lohar and Chopan instead of their sub-castes like Verma, Mehra, Choudhary, etc.
