UDHAMPUR, Jan 19: Agitated over no power supply for the last six days, villagers of Katwalt and adjoining areas in Ramnagar today protested Power Development Department (PDD).
The protesting villagers said that Panchayat Katwalt and adjoining areas have been continuously in dark for the last six days due to faulty transformer.
The villagers lamented that despite repeated requests, the PDD authorities did not repair or replace the transformer. Seeking immediate resumption of power supply, they demanded installation of a new transformer.
The porters were addressed by Roshan Kumar, Kirkro Ram, Vijay Kumar, Krishan Lal, Sanju Kumar, Chatru Ram, Badri Ram and Sansaro Ram.
