UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: Udhampur Police apprehended one absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last 14 years.
The absconder, namely Bashir Ahmed, son of Imam Din of Dharmari, Tehsil Mahore , Reasi , was wanted in case FIR number 26/1988, PS Majalta and a warrant of arrest under section 512 CrPC was issued by Court of JMIC Majalta against the accused on 19-02-2007.
A police team, led by SHO Majalata, Insp Virender Gupta under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar, Dr Bhishm Dubey arrested the accused from Jammu after developing reliable input about his whereabouts.
