JAMMU, Jan 22: J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) has flayed the Govt for withdrawing security cover of opposition leaders in the sensitive Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and demanded immediate security cover to the PYC head Uday Bhanu Chib.
Addressing media persons here today, J&K Pradesh Youth Congress vice president, Ricky Dalotra said that it is highly condemnable act on the part of the Govt for having arbitrarily adopted a pick and choose policy in withdrawing security cover of former MLCs and MLAs belonging to opposition parties and other leaders.
Accusing the Government of favouritism in favour of BJP leaders and activists, he said that even petty leaders of BJP can be seen moving with PSOs
The JKPYC leader said that it is quite shocking and condemnable that despite having written to the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Senior Superintendent (SSP) of police, the security cover has not been provided to the Youth Congress president, Uday Bhanu till date. He said that it clearly indicates some conspiracy behind such stance of the Government.
Dalotra made an appeal to the district administration to provide security cover to Uday Bhanu at the earliest.
