JAMMU, Jan 22: After strenuous efforts, the Durga Nagar Welfare Committee (DNWC) got a 180 HP motor installed at feeder number 10 of Muthi Gaon, which can lift 50,000 gallons water per hour.
In a handout, President DNWC Roshan Lal Raina and Chairman Ravinder Bakshi said that with the installation of this motor, the water scarcity problem will be reduced to some extent.
They hoped that 180 HP motor will also be installed at Durga Nagar tube well so as to reduce the water supply gap.
“We hope that process on construction of new tube well will be continuing. We are also hopeful that land from JDA will be available soon for the construction of the tube well as it is the only solution for redressing the water scarcity issue”, they added.
