JAMMU, Jan 22: Jammu and Kashmir Border Areas Development Conference (JK-BADC), an organization working for the welfare of border residents, today demanded full implementation of J&K Public Service Guarantee Act and Right to Information Act in all Government offices of district Poonch.
Accusing some Government departments of district Poonch brazenly denying time bound services to the people under Public Service Guarantee Act and denying information to the citizens under RTI, the BADC has requested the Deputy Commissioner Poonch to sensitize all the district officers to adhere the provisions of these two people friendly Acts for providing public services and for bringing transparency in the administration.
Dr Shazad Malik, the former Vice Chancellor and Chairman of the J&K Border Development Conference named several departments of district Poonch for denying services and information under PSGA and RTI respectively and demanded action against them.
