Pensioners demand hike in Med Allowance

JAMMU, Jan 27: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (Jammu) has demanded enhancement in Medical Allowance in favour of employees and pensioners.
In a meeting of the Assocaition held here today the members expressed that several UTs and states are providing Rs 1000 per month as Medical Allowance to its employees and pensioners but in J&K the employees are being paid Rs 300 per month as Medical Allowance.
They said that Govt must review its decision and enhance Medical Allowance in Favour of employees and pensioners. They also demanded pending arrears in faour of employees.
The meeting was attended by B S Jamwal, K G Khajuria, B D Verma, S K Sharma, Attar Singh and others.
