JAMMU, Jan 27:A team of Electric Division IIIrd, Rehari led by Executive Engineer, R K Raina along with Assistant Executive Engineer, Sardari Lal and concerned Feeder Managers of the Electric Sub Division One Canal , Jammu today started mass disconnection drive of electric connections of those consumers who have not paid their arrear amount till date.
During the drive 57 domestic and commercial installations were disconnected and an amount of Rs 10.04 lakh has been recovered on spot from the defaulters. The areas where the disconnection drive was launched included Rehari, Raipura Mangotrian, Lower Shiv Nagar, Barnai Bus Stop, Munshi Chak Bohri, Talab Tillo (Hazuri Bagh) and its adjoining areas.
The Department, which launched the drive under the directives of Shiv Anat Tayal, MD Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited has appealed all the consumers to pay their monthly electric bills in time and also clear their outstanding arrears to avoid disconnections.
