UDHAMPUR, Aug 8: A truck stolen from Udhampur on August 4, was recovered today by Police at Jammu where it was found abandoned.
According to Police, a complaint was lodged yesterday in Police Station Chenani by one Sanjay Kumar son of Govind Ram of Ballian, Udhampur regarding theft of his truck, which was parked near his house on the night of August 4. Next day he found the truck missing and after searching it for two days, he ultimately lodged a police report.
Utilizing human and technical intelligence, Police party recovered the truck from Jammu, which was concealed there for further disposal. However, noticing the movement of Police party, the thief managed to escape leaving behind the abandoned truck. Police parties have been dispatched to apprehend the absconding thief.
