JAMMU, Jan 31: Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP) held a meeting of its office bearers of all districts of J&K through virtual mode today in which various issues confronting the Hindu Samaj in the country and at global level were discussed.
The meeting was addressed by the national organisational general secretary, VHP Vinayak Rao Deshpande and the organising secretary of Inderprasat region, Mukesh Khandekar.
Speaking on the occasion, Deshpande expressed concern over the forced conversions of Hindus by Christian Missionaries and Muslims. He cautioned the Hindus against such tactics of the Christian Missionaries as well as Muslims and also made an appeal to Pope and other heads of Christian Missionaries not to indulge in such tactics by enticing the innocent people after offering them money, books and other material. He said such tactics should be avoided as it will lead to unrest.
He also made an appeal to women folk of Hindu community that they can play a great role in educating their children about their religion as well as rich Hindu culture which has a glorious history of thousands of years. He said the mothers can imbibe the qualities of great men and saints and sages in their children and they have also to keep the full knowledge of the day to day activities of their children.
Deshpande also stressed on maintaining unity among the Hindus and appealed them not fall in the trap of caste barriers as all Hindus irrespective of their caste and creed are one and they have to be above the caste and regional considerations. “We all have to work jointly to make India a Vishaw Guru and restore its pristine glory”, he added.
Mukesh Khandekar in his address gave the information about the forth coming programmes of VHP and also threw light on the functioning of the VHP in the country. He said the VHP is running computer centers, knitting centers, health clinics, children Ashrams etc all over country and every segment of the society is taking its advantage.
VHP J&K president, Leela Karan Sharma, working president, Rajesh Gupta, vice president Shakti Dutt Sharma, , Prant organising secretary , Vivek Ji, secretary Abhishekh Gupta, additional secretary, Karan Singh, Santosh Kotwal and media incharge, Rejesh Bhasin were also present.
