SAMBA/KATHUA, Jan 31: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba police today seized one JCB, four dumpers across district Samba which were being used for illegal transportation and mining of the construction material.
A police party of Police Post (PP), RA Talli seized one JCB without number and one dumper with Registration Number JK21E /2191 for illegal mining and transportation of construction material near Bela Manohar and Manohar Gopala without any permission.
A police team of PS Purmandal while on vehicle checking duty near Khara Madana seized a dumper having Registration Number JK02CG/8174 for illegally transporting of construction material.
Similarly, a dumper bearing Registration Number JK02BW /4037 has been seized by Police team of PP Mansar for carrying construction material (sand) without any valid permission.
A team of PS Ghagwal seized one dumper having Registered Number JK05F /7365 for carrying construction material (Bajri) without valid permission.
All the vehicles seized by Samba police have been handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
Meanwhile in order to take strict action against illegal mining within the district, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua , R C Kotwal – today seized one vehicle(Dumper) along with one JCB machine indulged in illegal mining which were being used for illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdictional area of Police Stations (PS) Bani and Kathua.
Police said a team headed by SHO PS Bani in its jurisdictional area found one JCB machine indulged in illegal mining which was being used for illegal transportation of construction material. While in another instance police team led by Inspector, Rajesh Kumar Incharge Police Post (PP) Nagri in its jurisdictional area near Sheller Morh Nagri noticed one dumper indulged in illegal mining which was being used for illegal transportation of construction material.
The dumper along with JCB machine indulged in illegal mining were seized and were immediately handed over to the officials of Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
