JAMMU, Feb 1: Apni Party today staged a protest demonstration against the proposal to establish Toll Plaza on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway, Thandi Khui.
The protest was organised against National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) under the leadership of District Jammu Urban Vice president, Vaibhav Mattoo and Provincial president Youth Wing, Vipul Bali in front of NHAI office at Channi Himmat.
They were shouting slogans against NHAI for not considering demands of the local population.
Vaibhav Mattoo criticized the NHAI for not considering the demands of the locals who would be displaced with the proposed Toll Plaza, while the Provincial president said that every year new toll plazas are being installed in J&K despite knowing about the economic condition of the people.
They said, “If NHAI will not listen to the demands, the Party will continue to hold protests against their attitude.”
Suhail Khajuria, Sarjeet Singh, Janmeet Bali, Deepak Bradoo, Abhishek Goswami, Ashraf Choudhary, Mohammed Asif, Madusir Shaw, Farooq Chauhan and many others were part of the protest.
