NEW DELHI, Aug 10: Freight rates for nine tonne load to select destinations hardened by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following tight position of trucks amid better cargo movements.
Transporters said apart from good cargo movements, less position of trucks, mainly pushed up select freight rates.
Capital to Chandigarh, Gwalior and Jaipur rates improved by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 18,000, Rs 12,000 and Rs 17,000 per ten tonne, respectively.
Rates to Indore, Ahmedabad and Kanpur also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 23,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 22,000.
