Srinagar, Feb 4: Scores of aspirants who have already qualified the exams for several technical posts in the Health and Medical Education department today staged a protest, seeking immediate notification of the final selection list.
The protestors who assembled here in the Press Enclave said that the advertisement notification for the posts was brought out in March 2021 and later, the exams were held in August last year.
Bisma Bashir, one of the protestors said that their selection list has not been released so far, because the contractual employees who were engaged under the academic arrangement had stayed the process
“The High Court has vacated the stayed, but 7 posts have been reserved for them, but, we now demand the release of the list, without any reservation,” she said.
Another protestor said that it was a good opportunity for many qualified but unemployed youth who have now left their temporary jobs to prepare for the exam.
“Those who have been brought in under the academic arrangement, through petitions filed here and there, are trying to derail the entire selection process,” he said.
The protestors appealed to the higher-ups of the administration to take steps to ensure that the pending final selection list is released as soon as possible.
