POONCH, Feb 4: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting here at district hospital to review the functioning & health care services being provided to patients and COVID mitigation measures.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to put in best possible efforts to ensure better and quality treatment to the patients.
He also appreciated the health employees for their untiring efforts to fight COVID pandemic in the district. He advised them to keep working with the same zeal to counter the third COVID wave.
The DC asked the medical staff to avoid unnecessary referrals from Sub district hospitals to reduce the burden on the District Hospital. He also made it clear that strict action as per rules would be taken against the poor performers and non serious staff.
The DC also asked for ensuring adequate availability of the medicines to the patients in the District Hospital/ sub district hospitals to avoid inconvenience to them. Further, the Medical Superintendent District hospital was directed to ensure immediate digitization of the drug store to make the system transparent and efficient.
Strict adherence to COVID protocols in health institutions was also stressed upon.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Dr G.A Malik, Medical Superintendent, Dr Mushtaq Hussain Shah, BMOs, and doctors of district Hospital.
