JAMMU, Aug 10: High Court has stayed the selection and appointment of two private respondents as demonstrator in Government Medical College Jammu.
The order was issued in a petition filed by Dr Rekha and two others Post-Graduates in Anatomy and working as Assistant Registrars in the Directorate of Health Services. The petitioners had applied for the post of Demonstrators in the Anatomy in the GMC Jammu and submitted their application forms through proper channel–Director Health Services Jammu. The private respondents, who were not in Government Service also applied for the post because both in-service and not-in-service doctors were eligible for the post.

After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioners, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal issued notice to the respondents returnable within two weeks and stayed the operation of impugned Order No 932 of 2013 dated July 31, 2013 with a direction that private respondents shall cease to have been appointed and function as Demonstrators pursuant to the advertisement notice till next date of hearing.
