RAMBAN, Feb 5: A teenager was killed while another sustained serious injuries in accident near Ashar area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here today.
As per police sources, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK19-7322 was hit by unknown vehicle near Ashar area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into injuries to rider and pillion rider.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Banihal where one injured identified as Sahir Saleem (18), son of Mohd Saleem of Chareel died during treatment.
The injured identified as Hasib Mushtaq (19), son of Mushtaq Ahmed of Chareel was later referred to GMC Anantnag for specialised treatment.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
