Drug peddler arrested with 42 gms heroin

JAMMU, Feb 6: Pouni Chak Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 42 grams heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Post Pouni Chak led by PSI Nitish Khajuria and ASI Gurudev laid a naka at Udheywala and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 42 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Dheeraj Kumar, son of Dev Raj of Indra Nagar, Miran Sahib, District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 45/2022 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Post Pouni Chak and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pouni Chak Police arrested five drug peddlers in last one month.
The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
