RAJOURI Feb 10: The Central Government’s recent initiative of issuing E-shram cards is a visionary effort under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to support the unorganised labour segment. These remarks were made by BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta today while addressing an impressive function at Mubarakhpura at Rajouri.
This programme was specially organised to hand over E-shram cards to the labourers and workers in organised sectors like construction labourers, migrant workforce, street vendors, domestic workers and agricultural workers.
On this occasion Vibodh handed over 400 E-shram cards to the beneficiaries who were present on this very special occasion.
Later addressing the gathering, Vibodh said that currently the Central Government is leaving no stone unturned to address the genuine issues and concerns of every segment of the society. He informed that currently under this scheme about 38 crore E-shram cards are being issued to workers of unorganised sector which also include street workers. Through this scheme Vibodh said that these workers will be able to have direct access to a wide range of benefits. He further added that under this scheme any registered worker can get additional Rs. two lakh accidental insurance cover once he has an E-shram Card which he can get after registering on the E-shram Portal of the Government of India.
Vibodh termed this scheme of the Modi Government as a noble effort which will directly benefit all those who are currently not part of any Government’s social security network. As part of this scheme the workers in the unorganised sector will also get benefits like Provident Fund and housing benefits. Terming this initiative as historic, Vibodh called upon every BJP leader present on the occasion to ensure that more and more such programmes are organised so that benefits of all the schemes of Modi Government can reach to the people for whom such schemes have been designed with massive hard work and effort.
The programme was also addressed by BJP senior leader and district president Rajouri Rajinder Gupta.
Others who were present on the occasion included, Koushal Gupta,Yogesh Kumar Sharma, Radhish Sharma, Rinku Sharma, Puneet Sharma, Vickey Sharma, Narayan Sharma and Makhan Singh.
