Two brothers injured in shootout, business partner arrested

JAMMU, Feb 11: Two brothers were injured when their business partner fired shots at them from his revolver in Seora Nandni area of Phallian Mandal here today.
However, acting swiftly, police arrested the assailant.
As per police sources, a man identified as Ashwani Charak, son of Madan Lal of Karan Nagar District Jammu fired several rounds of revolver targeting his business partners and two brothers namely Bhushan Giri and Jagdish Giri, sons of Mohan Lal Giri, both residents of Seora Nandni near their house.
Both the brothers received injuries and were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where they were undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
However, acting swiftly, teams from Police Station Satwari led by SHO Inspector Sameer Jillani and Police Post Phallian Mandal led by PSI Ajesh Jamwal apprehended the assailant along with revolver.
It is learnt that trio were partners in property dealings and reason for attack is some property issue.
However, a case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started to ascertain the exact cause of the firing.
