SRINAGAR, Feb 11: A snow replica of one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal, has come up at the world-famous ski-resort Gulmarg which is now attracting more tourists.
The replica has been created by the Grand Mumtaz Resorts in Gulmarg whose men worked for 17 days despite sub-zero temperature and ended up creating a beautiful attraction for the tourists with dimensions of 24 feet x 24 feet x 16 feet with no material expenses and without professional help.

General Manager, Grand Mumtaz Resorts, Satyajeet Gopal told Excelsior that he has been long contemplating creating something unique and creative during the winter for the tourists.
“I have come here last year and since then I have been thinking of making something unique for the tourists and now we have come up with the replica of the Taj Mahal which is unique given the name of our hotel,” he said.
He said that the step has been taken to attract more and more tourists who could reach Gulmarg and enjoy the hospitality.
Muhammad Yousuf Baba, who is working at the Grand Mumtaz Resorts, said that the replica has created after working hard for over 2 weeks despite harsh cold conditions. “It is aimed at bringing in more tourists as we want more and more tourists to come here and we hope that the replica serves that purpose,” he said.
One of the tourists, who identified herself as Anmol Sharma from Jammu said that she has had a great time in Gulmarg and that people should come to Kashmir very often to enjoy the beauty.
“I have come here for the second time and it is worth coming here; one can spend quality time in Gulmarg, it is safe and people need to come here; I have never seen such a replica anywhere, it is exceptionally beautiful,” she said.
The hotel is offering Kashmiri Kehwa to all the visitors even as the spot has already become famous as people are reaching the hotel to click photos and selfies.
