JAMMU, Feb 12: The Feeding Service Officers (FSOs) ignored in the JKAS Induction, have expressed deep anguish over the selective approach adopted by the General Administration Department (GAD) and appealed LG Manoj Sinha to intervene into the matter so that deserving officers get their legitimate rights.
They said that majority of officers of the departmental Feeding Services to the Time Scale of Jammu and Kashmir Services have been left out from the Induction process. “We are unable to understand what procedure the GAD has adopted while allocating slots to 19 services (Junior JKAS officers and officers Feed Services),” they added.
The FSOs said it is first time when the slots have been allocated in a fractured manner without taking into account the seniority and interests of the Feeding Service Officers, who are stagnated for a long time. “Earlier, all the available slots were kept in pool and the 18 services and Junior JKAS were allocated slots as per their cadre strength but this time adoption of replacement procedure is beyond our understanding,” they said.
The officers said that the Government always claims of making transparency as the benchmark of the administration but why GAD is not coming clear about the availability and allocations of slots to all the 19 services prior to allocating slots under Time Scale.
They demanded to bring availability of slots in the public domain including the procedure adopted for future seniority of Feeding Cadre Officers. The officers said that slot position of all the Feeding Service Departments be brought into the public domain so that the officers could know the real position.
“If we are not given our rights, there will be no alternative with us but to knock the door of the Court. However, we are optimistic about the fairness of LG, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary GAD and hope that our grievance would be looked into at higher level with utmost sympathy,” the officers expressed.
