JAMMU, Feb 12: Bathindi Police arrested two drug peddlers hailing from district Kishtwar and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Post Bathindi led by PSI Mohammad Ilyas under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali and SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari laid a naka and intercepted a Boleno car.
During checking, police team recovered 10 grams heroin from the possession of driver and his associate and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Rashid Hussain, son of late Ghulam Hussain and Mubashir Hussain, son of Shahid Hussain, both residents of District Kishtwar.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
