JAMMU, Feb 13: All J&K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha today observed 504th Kabir Nirwan Divas at Kabir Bhawan, Chak-Avtara, Bishnah.
The function was largely attended by people from all the districts of Jammu division especially from district Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Reasi. They paid their obeisance to Sant Kabir Sahib.
On the occasion, a spiritual discourse was delivered by Dina Nath Ji (from Punjab), a disciple of Great Mahatma Shri Chandi Ram Ji and Sh Bitta Ji on the bani of Saints with special reference to Kabir Bani.
Meanwhile, the idol of Shiromani Sant Kabir Sahib which came from Jaipur (Rajasthan) was received today at Sarore Adda (Bari Brahmana) in presence of the president of the Sabha F C Bhagat and Ex-Minister C P Ganga. Thereafter, the idol of Kabir Sahib was carried in a Shoba Yatra which started from Sarore and after passing through Ratnal, Deoli and Bishnah, culminated at Kabir Bhawan Chak-Avtara, Bishnah.
The Shoba Yatra was greeted by each village of Bishnah irrespective of any caste or religion and the public at large showered their love and warmth to the idol of Sant Kabir Sahib which was a live example of the philosophy of equality amongst all.
F C Bhagat, while addressing the gathering, said that Kabir Das was the first Indian saint who co-ordinated between different religions and gave a universal path which could be followed by all and it was the beginning of the social revolution in India because the philosophy of Kabir is irrespective of any religion, caste or creed and it is based on equality amongst all.
Prominent personalities who attended the function were G R Bhagat (senior vice-president of the Sabha), Prof Ashok Bhagat, Dr Gurdass Ram, all district presidents, Manohar Lal (general secretary), Dr Buti Ram and Ashwani Bhagat (block president).
