JKTF urges teachers to bridge loss of studies as Govt re-opens schools

JAMMU, Feb 13: As the Government ordered re-opening of schools, the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum today appealed the teaching fraternity for sincere and active participation to bridge the loss of studies due to COVID-19 pandemic in the past.
The appeal was made during a meeting of central body and Distt body of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum J&K UT, which was held today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, Chairman JKTF J&K UT and Mohd Akbar Khan, President J&K UT.
More than 200 central body, Distt body members of the entire UT, including members of Kashmir Province, participated in the meeting and appreciated the Govt decision to re-open the schools for offline teaching. The Forum appealed the teaching fraternity for their sincere and active participation to bridge the loss of studies due to COVID-19 pandemic in the past by burning the mid night oil.
While speaking in the meeting, Ganesh Khajuria also appealed the Govt, especially Principal Secretary School Education Deptt to maintain the previous routine while effecting the transfers of different cadres. “District cadres post transfers be effected by the Distt Officers, Provincial cadre posts i.e , Masters and others be made at Directorate level posts and all other gazetted cadre posts at the Secretariat level as it will definitely provide transparency and justice to the cadres besides avoiding unnecessary complications in the future,” he explained.
Ganesh Khajuria and Mohd Akbar Khan also stressed for the removal of Master Grade pay anomaly and to fill up all the vacant posts i.e Principals, ZEOs, Lecturers, Headmaster and Masters by promoting the eligible cadres.
