REASI, Feb 13: One person died and six others were injured when a car rolled down into a 50-feet deep gorge near Kalidhar , here today.
The accident took place late last night around 1 am when the occupants of the Eco car (JK11B-2928) were on their way to Jammu from Surankote.
One person, namely Mohd Javed (30), son of Abdul Aziz of Surankote, Poonch, reportedly died on the spot while six others sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Police and locals immediately launched the rescue operation and shifted the victims to nearby hospital at Chouki Choura from where the injured were referred to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
As per Police, the injured were identified as Mohd Hafiz (22) of Surankote, Wasim Anjum (18) of Kotaranka, Mohd Taj (25) of Surankote, Mohd Arif (22) of Poonch, Zaheer Ahmad (22) of Poonch and Amir (19) of Rajouri.
