SRMWC to organize Shobha Yatra of Lord Shiva on Feb 28

JAMMU, Feb 13: Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee (SRMWC) will organize Shobha Yatra of Lord Shiva on February 28.
This was decided in a meeting of SRMWC held today at Shri Ranbireshwar ji Temple, in presence of Mahant Rishi Ban. Later, while addressing media persons, SRMWC president Onkar Sharma said that they along with the active cooperation of Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust, is organizing Shiv Barat (Shobha Yatra) on Feb 28 on the eve of Maha Shivratri Festival which actually falls this year on March 1.
He said that the Shobha Yatra will start from Shri Ranbireshwar Ji Temple sharply at 3.30 PM. “The Shobha Yatra will pass through all main bazars of the Old City viz. Indira Chowk, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar Chowk, Old Hospital Road, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazar, Chowk Chabutra and will finally culminate at Shri Ranbireshwar ji Temple. He appealed all religious minded people and trade organizations to take part in these programmes.
Sharma further informed that on March 1, a free medical camp will be organized at Shri Ranbireshwar Ji Temple with the cooperation of Department of Indian System of Medicines from 10 AM onwards while on March 6, Bhandara will be organized in Temple premises from 1 PM to 4 PM.
He said that as per previous practices, all programmes will be held as per schedule. On the occasion, Onkar Sharma also gave responsibilities to the members of the committee to make all programmes successful.
He appealed all to take part in these programmes while taking all Covid related precautions. Those present in the meeting were Raj Kumar Gupta, Mandeep Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Mohan Sharma, Anubhav Suri, Pawan Sharma and others.
