JAMMU, Feb 14: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri has demanded release of pending instalment of 3 per cent DA due from January this year and 18 month DA arrears in favour of employees and pensioners of Central and J&K UT government before Shivratri.
Addressing NMC workers here today Shastri demanded exemption of DA from the ambit of Income Tax.
He further demanded separate wage head for regularly disbursement of monthly salary to daily rated workers till their regularization, enhancement of their wages to Rs. 600 per day, regularizing their services under SRO 64, setting up of Labour Welfare Board, implementation of all Central laws in J&K besides hiking medical allowance of pensioners to Rs. 1,000 per month.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Sukhdev Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
