Teaching faculty must conduct self-assessment: JU VC

BHADERWAH, Feb 18: Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj Dhar today delivered a lecture on “Post NEP- 2020 opportunities for Youths” at Bhaderwah Campus and stressed that the teaching faculty must conduct self-assessment to ensure qualitative academic development.
“National Education Policy emphasizes the importance of moral and ethical values in education, Interdisciplinary studies, no Detention Policy, Academic Credit and collaboration with foreign universities,” he said.
He stressing that learning is a lifelong process and both students and teachers must continue to acquire knowledge.
The lecture was followed by meaningful questions and answer sessions with the students of the Campus.
Earlier, Prof Rahul Gupta, Rector Bhaderwah Campus delivered a formal welcome address and a vote of thanks was delivered by Rohit Bhagat, Assistant Professor. The proceeding of the event was conducted by Academic Coordinator, Dr Kuljeet Singh.
Among others, Prof Sanjana Kaul, Co-chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor Dr Neeraj Sharma. Dr Imran Farooq, PRO to Vice-Chancellor, Heads of the various Departments, Dr Jatinder Manhas, Dr Neeraj Sharma, Dr Sunil Bhardwaj, Dr Cherring Tandop. Dr Shayan Javed and Mujib, Assistant Registrar were also present on the occasion.
