JAMMU, Feb 18: A museum first of its kind Wuznavun showcasing the exodus and killing of Kashmiri Pandits during 1990’s was inaugurated by Ashok Pandit (Bollywood Director), & Producer and renowned social activist. He was accompanied by Kiran Wattal, convenor, Vishav Kashmir Samaj (VKS), Rajkumar Pradhan Goshalla Amphalla and Naveen Pandit (Bollywood Actor).
The Museum is brainchild of Sewa Bharti J&K and it is of first kind in India. Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Pandit recalled how K.P community were forced to flee from Kashmir, after series of massacres of community members there. He said that the museum highlighted the pain and agony of Kashmiri Pandit community in the real terms. He further added that he has already moved a proposal to Government of India for making a memorial of members of Kashmiri Pandit community who were killed during this turmoil in Kashmir.
Kiran Wattal also appreciated the efforts of Sewa Bharti in highlighting the causes of community. Naveen Pandit while speaking said that such events will bring Kashmiri Pandit community together and will give a sense of belongingness among them. Vikran from Sewa Bharti shared the ideas behind this museum to the gathering. Pamposh Didi and Sangeeta Didi gave a detailed overview of Sewa Bharti project in Jammu and Kashmir to the gathering.
