JAMMU, Feb 18: A delegation of Swaran Vihar Residents Welfare Association (SVRWA) called on officers of various departments and discussed about the progress achieved in the developmental works to be accomplished at Colony.
During their meeting with the Managing Director Co-Operative Housing Society, J&K he assured the delegation to prepare blue print of Community Hall within a week and submit the proposal to JMC for obtaining necessary approval. The MD was also requested to provide sign boards for the colony and also about the vacant plots which have left the colony in bad shape.
During the meeting with Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) the delegation was assured to setup the process to increase the water storage of existing reservoir within this fiscal and ensure sufficient water supply to the residents. The Joint Commissioner JMC assured black topping after March 15 and said the repair of drainage will be initiated shortly. He said a team of JMC will be deputed to the Colony in a couple of days to ensure about regular cleaning of the lanes and drains.
The delegation included SN Raina president, SVRWA, DN Thaloo and Kuldeep Raina vice presidents and NM Gadroo general secretary.
