JAMMU, Feb 18: RS Pura Police today claimed to have solved many snatching cases by arresting two notorious burglars and recovering property worth lakhs on their disclosure.
Following some theft and burglary cases occurred in RS Pura, four cases vide FIR Number 18/2022 U/S 457/380/511 IPC, FIR Number 17/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC, FIR Number 15/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC and FIR Number 16/2022 U/S 382 IPC were registered at Police Station RS Pura.
To crack the theft cases, a special police team under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma was constituted. Police team took various digital foot prints and after proper analysis arrested the two accused who were identified as Mohd Saleem son of Mohd Munshi and Sunny Kumar alias Kaka son of Narinder Kumar, both residents of RS Pura.
During sustained questioning both the accused confessed their involvement and on their disclosures stolen property worth Rs 9 lakh were recovered.
The whole operation was conducted under the overall supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta and SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli.
