Delimitation has rectified historical blunders: BJP

UDHAMPUR, Feb 18: BJP today said that the proposed delimitation has rectified historical blunders committed by the successive Governments ever since the India attained independence and stated that addition of six seats to Jammu and one to Kashmir has set right the true democracy in J&K.
This was stated by party spokespersons Rajni Sethi and Ajay Bharti while talking to reporters here, today.
They said that the criterion applied by Delimitation Commission had distributed seats proportionate to population, communication etc. and complimented the Commission for  huge and pro-people exercise and stated that new Parliamentary constituency, Rajouri-Poonch-Anantnag will stabilize nationalistic voices in the area and thereby separatists of South Kashmir will be countered and balanced by nationalistic voices of Jammu.
They said that the new constituencies carved out will bring development to the door step of political marginalized areas. They admitted that there are some issues which are left unresolved; however, assured that their party having received representations from the concerned quarters, will take up the same with the concerned.
While deliberating upon the Union Budget they stated that it is one of the best budget India has witnessed in post independence. The budget is pro-poor, people friendly, development oriented and economically stimulating budget .
