JAMMU, Feb 21: Sub-Judge Jammu Suhseel Singh has granted eight days police remand of Sadeeq Poswal, a property dealer of Channi Himmat, Mohammad Bashir, retired Tehsildar of Janipura, Dharampal, retired Girdawar from Sarore and Ghulam Rasool, retired Girdawar hailing from Sunjwan, who were arrested during the joint raids of Jammu Police and Revenue Department authorities.
After hearing APP Kuldeep Bhat, the court observed, “through the medium of this order, application for remanding the accused persons in police custody is being disposed of after hearing Inspector Deepak Katoch SHO Police Station Channi Himmat Jammu and accused persons present in the court”.
“The investigation of the case is in progress, therefore keeping in view the nature of allegations and the stage of investigation, I am satisfied with the arguments advanced by APP. Thus accused persons produced before the court are remanded to police custody for a period of eight days and shall be produced in the court on 28-02-2022”, Sub-Judge said.
