UDHAMPUR, Aug 14: Police seized 100 pouches of illicit liquor from a van in Roun area, here today.
Acting on specific information, a Police party from Roun Udhampur intercepted a van without any registration number. Noticing the Police party, the driver fled away from the spot leaving behind the abandoned van. During thorough search, 100 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered form the said van. Police also seized the van and launched a hunt to nab the suspect namely Vinod Kumar of Ward No. 9, Udhampur.
Police have also registered a case under Section 48A Excise Act at Police Station Udhampur for further investigation.
