KATHUA, Feb 22: One person was killed and four other passengers were injured when a car in which they were travelling rolled down into deep gorge at Sheetal Nagar, Basholi this morning.
The accident took place when a car bearing Registration Number JK08F 5049 rolled down into nearly 50 feet deep gorge on Bani road at Sheetal Nagar, Basholi after the driver lost the control on the stearing. The five persons traveling in the car were seriously injured and were shifted to CHC Basholi . Out of which three persons were referred to GMC, Kathua.
As per reports the driver of car succumbed to injuries at GMC Kathua. The deceased was identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Karam Chand resident of Sheetal Nagar. The two injured admitted in GMC Kathua were identified as Subash Chander, son of Mohinder Lal and Sonu Kumar, son of Neelam Kumar residents of Sheetal Nagar. The two persons admitted in Basholi hospital are identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Madan Lal also resident of Sheetal Nagar and Raj Kumar, son of Kewal Krishan resident of platinum, Basholi . They are under treatment and their condition is stable.
The Basholi police has registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
