JAMMU, Feb 22: A minor boy died during treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Inderjeet (12), a resident of District Ramban.
The minor boy was admitted for treatment of his leg on February 12 this year and after surgery he was shifted to Orthopaedics ward, where his condition deteriorated and he breathed his last at around 2 am.
The body of the deceased has been handed over to family members for last rites.
The parents and relatives alleged that medical negligence has resulted into death of the minor boy and demanded probe.
However, GMC Hospital Police has initiated an inquiry to ascertain the reason behind the death of the minor.
