AIMCCC opposes charging power tariff from camp inmates

JAMMU, Feb 22: A meeting of All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) was held under the chairmanship of it’s  president, Desh Rattan Pandita at Jagti township today to discuss recent decision of Government to charge  electricity Tariff from displaced KPs putting up in camps.
The meeting said KPs  are leading a refugee life outside Kashmir for last 32 years and they have always been ignored of their basic rights. Every time new gifts in shape of such orders are awarded to this hapless community which have badly affected the future of the community and it’s coming generation, it added . The meeting said educated youth got over aged who with their parents are passing through worst financial crisis .Government neither could rehabilitate the community till now nor could redress their burning problems, it added.
The administration is requested not to play with the sentiments of this community who have sacrificed every thing for the sake of nation, but the Government which failed to rehabilitate the community has deprived it of its basic rights.
If same step motherly treatment continues, the community will fight for it by coming on roads for justice. No displaced camp inmate is in a position to pay the electricity tariff.
