SKUAST-Jammu teachers provide humanitarian aid to Security Guard

JAMMU, Feb 24: SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) extended helping hand to one security guard working at Main Campus Chatha who was going through his tough times as his son was undergoing expensive life saving medical treatment in a private hospital due to infection of kidneys.
President SKUAST-TAJ, Dr Vikas Sharma informed that on the initiative of Security Officer SKUAST-Jammu, N K Raina, a cash amount of Rs 30,000/- (Thirty thousands) was collected to save the precious life of the security guard’s son.
General Secretary SKUAST-TAJ, Dr Vivak Arya informed that in the last five years, Teaching Association of SKUAST-Jammu has extended financial aid of rupees nine lakh and thirty thousands (Rs 9,30,000) to non teaching staff, security persons and students of SKUAST-Jammu who were undergoing expensive life saving medical treatment in different known Medical Institutions of the country.
Security Convenor SKUAST-Jammu, Dr SP Singh lauded the efforts of SKUAST-TAJ and hoped that the teaching association will continue with this humanitarian endeavor and will generously support the every social cause in future also. Dr Pradeep Kumar Rai – Joint Secretary, Dr Devinder Sharma – Publicity Secretary, Dr Rajeev Bharat-Treasurer were also present on the occasion.
