KEEWA delegation calls on MD PDC, submits memorandum

JAMMU, Feb 24: A delegation of Kashmir Electric Employees and Workers Association (KEEWA) led by its president, Nazir Ahmed Magrey called on Managing Director, Power Development Corporation (PDC), J&K and submitted a memorandum to him highlighting the various demands of the employees of the Corporation.
The memorandum expressed concern over non payment of pensionary benefits to the employees of Corporation who retired since 2012 despite the fact they are entitled to the same. These employees are facing acute financial hardships due to non payment of pension, the memorandum added.
The memorandum also demanded formation of rules and regulations in the PDC in absence of which employees are deprived of amenities and facilities available to employees working in other corporations of UT.
It demanded security of PDC projects, land and buildings, regularisation of daily, contractual and need based workers in PDC who are working in Corporation sine long, holding of DPC in the Corporation for promotion of workers and employees which has not been held since a long, release of Hardship Allowance to all employees of Corporation, implementation of SRO 59, grant of effect to daily rated workers from the date the order was issued, sanction of technical posts in USHP II Kangan Division, filling up of vacant posts of officers in the Corporation which has affected the work culture, grant of insitu promotions and settling of pending SRO 43 cases. Mohammad Shaban and other senior members of the Association were also part of delegation.
