JMC starts work on Community Hall, boundary wall

JAMMU, Feb 24: Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta; Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma and Councillor of Ward 69, Gurmeet Kour Randhawa here today started construction work of a community hall inside the premises of a temple in Sainik Colony.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that with the sincere efforts of the Councillor Randhawa the much awaited work of Community Hall has been started today with an allotted amount of Rs. 25 lakh.
He directed the concerned works division to get the construction work completed well before March 31, 2022 using best quality construction material.
JMC Councillor, Gurmeet Randhawa said, it was a long pending demand of the locals as well as the temple management committee which has been fulfilled today.
Meanwhile, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor toured Ward 73 and started the construction work of boundary wall at JMC land at Chatha near Jammu Airport.
Speaking on the occasion the Mayor said that under the supervision of JMC Commissioner, demarcation of 58 kanal of JMC land has already been done and the fencing work with wires has been undertaken on it in order to protect the land from encroachment.
He said that construction of boundary wall has been started today by JMC with an estimate cost of Rs. 70 lakh and JMC has planned to construct flats and other commercial establishments on this land after completion of boundary wall work.
