JAMMU, Feb 25: GMC Jammu has become first to get ‘Eat Right Campus’ certification by FSSAI. In another initiative towards betterment of healthcare services, two Associated Hospitals of GMC, Jammu i.e. GMCH & SSH have got ‘Eat Right Campus’ certification from Chief Executive Officer FSSAI.
For this, 54 food handlers and nursing staff attended food safety training certification course (FOSTAC) which was held at GMC.
The training was imparted by Food Safety Wing of Jammu in collaboration with FSSAI and all the steps were followed right from first party audit to 3rd party audit and also filling the gaps observed during gap analysis.
The certificates were handed over to Dy.Med.Suptd.SSH Dr.Harjit Rai and Dy.Med.Suptd GMCH Dr.Rehana Khurshid in presence of Principal & Dean Dr.Shadhi Sudan Sharma by Assistant Comissioner Food safety Jammu Dr.Parvesh on behalf of Commissioner Food & Drug administration J&K.
It is pertinent to mention that GMC Jammu has become the first Hospital in the UT of J&K to get this certification.
