JTC, SKF protest enters 503rd day

JAMMU, Feb 25: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) which have been protesting for 503 days today accused the Government of being totally callousness towards the displaced people from Kashmir.
JTC and SKF president, Shadi Lal  Pandita said that displaced people have been protesting for 503 days and  are demanding hike in cash assistance from Rs 13000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month in view of sky rocketing prices of essential commodities but the Government is ignoring the relief holders and forcing the exiled community to hold protest. Pandita said that unemployment has increased in the community and the educated youth of the community are worst sufferers.
He demanded settlement of all genuine demands of displaced people from Valley besides their permanent settlement in three satellite townships in three erstwhile districts of Kashmir including Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla.
