Police evacuate critical patient to SDH Tangdhar

Srinagar, Feb 27: Police in Kupwara today saved a precious life by shifting a critically ill patient from the Jabdi area of Karnah to Sub District Hospital Tangdhar in north Kashmir’s Kupwara.
As per police, at about 0945hrs, Police Station Karnah received a distress call from Jabdi area of Karnah that a critically-ill patient namely Alif Din son of Habibullah needs immediate medical attention as no vehicle was able to ply on the road due to heavy snowfall in the area.
“Acting swiftly, a police party led by SHO PS Karnah, Insp. Mudassir Ahmad rushed to the spot and lifted the patient on their shoulders with the help of locals to Charkungi, where from, the official vehicle of the Police Station was pressed into service up to another place at Kona Gabra where hospital Ambulance was waiting,” police said.
The patient was then shifted into the ambulance to Sub District Hospital Tangdhar for immediate treatment, police said.
Locals have applauded the efforts of the Police for prompt response and assistance in such a crucial juncture.
“It is pertinent to mention that SSP Kupwara Yougal Manhas has rewarded the police party for their efforts and swift action on a distress call,” police said.
