Resolve issue of farmers: Ex-MLC

SUNDERBANI, Feb 27: JKPCC chief spokesperson and former MLC, Ravinder Sharma today visited the agitating farmers and land owners at Thandapani near Sunderbani who are agitated against the BRO authorites in connection with deep digging of by pass road connecting Jammu- Poonch highway.
The farmers have not been paid any compensation while BRO authorities are digging very deep road causing huge damage to the farmers agricultural lands at Thandapani near Sunderbani.
They apprised former MLC about the attitude of the authorities who are digging 10 feet by- pass road besides ignoring the demand for required bridge on the bypass road.
No compensation has been paid to the farmers and land owners so far whereas, a house and the standing crop is being destroyed. Sharma demanded that authorities should immediately address the most genuine demands of agitating farmers and pay adequate compensation to them without delay as per law.
He said that the concerned authority is conducted slow pace of work on Thandapani – Nowhera road has been causing great hardships to people of entire two border districts.
