Bovines smuggling bids foiled; 70 cattle rescued, 3 arrested

RAMBAN, Feb 27: Chanderkote Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 70 cattle and arresting three persons.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Chanderkote laid a naka and intercepted four Kashmir bound vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued 70 bovine animals and arrested three cattle smugglers, who were identified as Amir Mir, son of Bahar Ahmed Mir of Bankoot Banihal, Showkat Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmed of Amar Cashma Batote and Mohammad Shakeel, son of Mohammad Yakoob of Chanderkote.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Chanderkote Inspector PD Singh made the arrests under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
