JAMMU, Feb 27: Tawi Welfare Society organized relief distribution function at Apnavan Sure Chak today in which free ration was distributed among the 100 needy families of 27 villages of Tawi Island and its adjoining areas.
Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma Director School Education Jammu was the chief guest on this occasion.
Nand Kishor senior member of Society briefed the chief guests about the various activities of Society. He thanked the guest for sparing his valuable time for the function and to bless the volunteers of Society. He added that they felt honored to have such a senior, dedicated and above all honest officer among them.
The chief guest in his address appreciated the work being done by the volunteers of Society and appealed all the youth to serve the Nation this or that way.
Dinesh Gupta Former Secretary Red Cross also spoke on this occasion.
Panch Lata Rajput and Panch Shakti Bhagat were also present in the function.
