RAJOURI, Feb 28: The revenue authorities retrieved about 502 kanals of Government land which had been grabbed by some villagers in Darhal area of Rajouri district.
Sources said that on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, a team under the overall supervision of Tehsildar Darhal, Mumtaz Iqbal Mirza, launched eviction drive in village Ujhan and Malhut, along with field staff, Numberdar, Chowkidar and locals and retrieved 502 kanals of land from Khasra No. 792 of Ujhan and 16 of Malhut from illegal occupants who were occupying the said land since decades.
Tehsildar Darhal made it clear that every inch of state land, Kacharai, common village land will be evicted in future and strict legal action will be taken against the illegal occupants.
