JAMMU, Feb 28: Former Rajya Sabha Member, Shamsher Singh Manhas along with JMC Corporator, Rekha Manhas here today inaugurated a shed at a Crematorium in Ward 62 (Upper Chinore) which shall be constructed at an expenditure of Rs. 23 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Shamsher Singh said this was the long pending demand of the area which has been fulfilled now.
He said that all such places hold an importance in our culture and these should be kept in good condition as people in large number daily visit such places.
Shamsher Singh also said that waiting shed, cremation shed, premises, entry gate, bathrooms etc at the crematorium have been modernized.
“Jammu Municipal Corporation has completed the work in a stipulated time and there has been no compromise on quality of the work,” he maintained.
Those who were present on the occasion were BJP leader, Sukhdev Singh Jamwal; Mandal Pradhan Muthi-Paloura, Suresh Khajuria; district secretary rural, Rajinder Singh; Ranjeet Singh Jamwal and Rocky Jamwal.
