POONCH, Feb 28 : One person was killed while two others seriously injured after a car they were travelling in, fell in a deep gorge in Mendhar area of Poonch district Monday late evening.
Official sources said that an Alto Car, bearing registration number JK03C- 9601, skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge on Gursai link road in Mendhar, resulting in on the spot death of a person and injuries to the two others.
The deceased has been identified as Fardous Ahmad Malik, son of Mohammad Akram Malik, resident of Fazlabad. The injured are- Tahir Shabir, son of Shabir Hussain, resident of Gursai and Irfan Fazli, son of late Sana Ullah Khan, resident of Mohra Bachhai.
The injured were shifted to SDH Surankote from where Tahir Shabir was referred to GMC Rajouri for preferential treatment.
Meanwhile SHO Gursai Farooq Ahmed has also confirmed about the accident and subsequent death of a person and injuries to the two others.
